Actually, it only seems like Dallas and Fort Worth have been transplanted to the Pacific Northwest. It’s rained six days out of the last eight, with three major thunderstorms. I mean, this is the kind of thing I left Louisiana to avoid!
And, apparently, everything really is bigger in Texas – even the sinkholes. Several of the major roads in town (including I-635 and Hwy 75, *the* major roads) now look like the Sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi.
Fortunately, my house seems to be built mostly on a foundation of sawdust and sand, so the water sinks right through it without flooding. On the downside, I have to get used to the house listing 22 degrees to port.
